Why I created LevelUp
For years, as I officiated weddings and talked with other Officiants,
the fact that the ceremony and the role of Officiant are so undervalued
and underappreciated always seemed weird.
The ceremony is the reason the day exists.
It's the only part of the day that actually makes that couple married.
And yet, for the industry as a whole, and for couples and their guests, it is often
viewed as something to 'get through' before the celebration begins.
The more I thought about it, the more I understood why.
Many ceremonies are filled with love for the couple, but many don't create a
memorable experience that truly engages everyone in attendance.
As Officiants, we have the opportunity to change that.
If we want the ceremony and our profession to be held in higher regard, it begins with us.
It begins by embracing the responsibility we've been entrusted with by continuing to grow, remaining curious,
and asking better questions.
Every meaningful improvement I've made over the past twelve years began with a question.

Who are the LevelUp Sessions for?
LevelUp Sessions are designed for Officiants, celebrants, ministers, and anyone entrusted with leading a wedding ceremony.
Whether you are preparing for your first ceremony or have officiated hundreds of weddings, you'll find thoughtful conversations that challenge you to think differently about your craft.
How much do the LevelUp Sessions cost?
Nothing. The monthly LevelUp Sessions are completely free because my goal is to help raise the standard of wedding ceremonies by building a community of Officiants who truly care about their role.
How often are the sessions?
LevelUp Sessions are held once a month on Zoom.
Each session focuses on a single topic and lasts approximately 60-90 minutes, including time for questions and disucssion.
Do I have to attend live?
Nope. Everyone who registers will receive access to the replay for 14 days after the live session.
Though, I encourage you to join live whenever possible. Some of the best conversations happen during the Q&A, and hearing from other Officiants from around the world is part of what makes this community special.
Will every session be for beginners?
While many sessions will be valuable for newer Officiants, LevelUp is designed to grow with the community.
Some topics will focus on foundational skills, while others will explore advanced ceremony design, leadership, business, and creating memorable experiences.
